How to select Torque Limiter Clutches

Torque Limiter Clutches are listed in inch pounds torque at 100 R.P.M.

Torque Rating Tables in inch pounds, together with accompanying formula, will facilitate the selection of the proper size clutch for any specific pupose. It has been found the eight sizes listed are the most popular, but larger units in various types can be furnished upon request.

 

Use the following formula: Torque (in inch pounds) = HORSEPOWER x 63025 x Service factor
100RPM, or actual RPM if lower than 100

Service Factor

After determinig proper torque in inch pounds refer to RATING TABLE (below) for proper size clutch.
